Hawkesbury Horse Racing Tips Thu 15/10/26
All Star caught the eye early in race 7, three…

We keep coming back to $7 on Kojak in Race 3. He’s drawn out wide and will have to settle midfield, but at that price we’ll wear the trip. Dubbo is a Good 4 under fine skies, so there are no excuses in the ground today. That makes it a straight test of who’s the better price rather than who handles the going. Four races we like out of the seven, and the maiden feature isn’t one of them.
2. Kojak $7.00
Barrier 11 · Midfield · Genuine pace
Gate 11 is the only thing I don’t like about #2 Kojak, and at $7 I’ll wear it. He’s been placing nearly all prep, three thirds and a second, before a flat run last start. There’s genuine speed on here, so Liam Blanch can take his time and land midfield without doing any work. #3 Peerless Son at $1.90 settles even further back off the pace. Have Kojak.
2. Mrs Bull $5.50
Barrier 13 · Off Midfield · Soft pace
Winkers go on #2 Mrs Bull, and at $5.50 that’s enough for me. She was second two back and fourth last start, so she’s close to winning again. Gate 13 is the knock, but 1400m gives Gabrielle Johnston time to get her across and find cover. Happy to take the risk at that price.
6. Sorrento Palace $6.00
Barrier 1 · Leader · Hot pace
Who actually beats the leader here? #6 Sorrento Palace has the rail, the blinkers go on, and Jake Pracey-Holmes will have her rolling from the jump. There’s speed about, but over 1000m nobody is crossing her from gate 1. Taking $2.35 on #11 Puffin to run her down from off the pace, no thanks. $6 for me.
5. Crook $4.80
Barrier 9 · Off Pace · Soft pace
#5 Crook has been placed four times from five this prep and she’s still $4.80. #1 Crusader Kings is $1.95 first-up off a spell, and he settles no closer to the speed than she does. Good enough for me.
