Hawkesbury Horse Racing Tips Thu 15/10/26
All Star caught the eye early in race 7, three…

El Tercero at $4.50 in Race 7 is the one we keep coming back to, decent gate, genuine speed in the race, and the price is fair without being silly. Heavy 8 at Donald with patchy rain about, so the ground stays testing all day even with fine skies overhead. Seven we like across the eight races, which is a lot, but the card reads that way once you sit with it. Plenty going on here if you can take the wet in your stride, and the value sits with horses that handle the ground rather than the short ones at the top of the markets.
8. Palazzo Dama $4.60
Barrier 6 · Midfield · Soft pace
Tongue control bit on for the first time, gate 6, and Will Gordon stays in the saddle for the Brownes. #8 Palazzo Dama placed third last start before the freshen-up, and at $4.60 he gives us a proper sight against a $1.80 favourite who still has to win one. Light Filled has had five cracks for a second and a few minors, that is short enough on a Heavy 8. I’m on Palazzo Dama at the overs.
11. Packers Journey $5.00
Barrier 3 · Off Midfield · No leader
$1.95 about a horse with one start? No thanks. #11 Packers Journey ran second and then fourth at his last two, drawn 3 with Alana Kelly aboard. On a Heavy 8, give me the experienced one running into form at $5.
8. The Charlatan $9.50
Barrier 6 · Backmarker · Soft pace
I’m with #8 The Charlatan at $9.50. He returns off a spell with a second at his last start, and Will Gordon sticks in the saddle for Patrick Payne. The favourite is $2.30 on a Heavy 8 after running second at his last two without putting one away.
3. Convaaya $6.00
Barrier 5 · Midfield · Genuine pace
Genuine speed on, gate 5, midfield. That’s the run I want over 2200m on a Heavy 8. #3 Convaaya gets the better map than the $3.40 fav drawn wider in gate 8, and Cian Macredmond rides for Matt Cumani. The fav has been knocking on the door without winning one. Take Convaaya at $6.
4. Tsitsipas $7.00
Barrier 4 · Midfield · No leader
#4 Tsitsipas at $7. The fav settles further back at half the price in a no-leader race, and Tsitsipas draws inside in gate 4. All over him.
3. El Tercero $4.50
Barrier 7 · Off Midfield · Genuine pace
Returns off a let-up with a third last start, and #3 El Tercero gets Stanley up for Busuttin and Young in a 1200m on a Heavy 8. The favourite’s last two were a sixth and a seventh before the spell, so $3.10 is short enough for me. I’m sticking with El Tercero at $4.50 to win.
10. Scalable $9.00
Barrier 8 · Backmarker · Hot pace
Hot tempo. Backmarker at $9. The fav has the same hand to play at $1.60. Easy choice for me. #10 Scalable settles back from gate 8 with Will Gordon staying on, and he ran second two back before a beaten run. The pace plays into the backmarkers and the Browne yard knows how to set them. I’d rather have the $9 about the same shape as the favourite.
