$7 on Wild Nights in Race 8 is the price we keep coming back to at Devonport. Nine of them line up there with no obvious leader, so she should get a lovely run into it from the midfield. The Tapeta takes the weather out of the equation, so the overcast sky means nothing here. It is the same surface whatever falls out of it. Three we’re keen on and no standout among them. Two short ones we’re happy enough to be with, and the one at a price that is worth a look.

Drawn 3 in a field of six, she’ll get the run she wants from midfield and she knows how to finish it off. #4 Hartman settles even further back at $3.30, so I’m not wearing the extra risk for the extra dollar. $2.20 is short, but she’s the right one.
