Hawkesbury Horse Racing Tips Thu 15/10/26
All Star caught the eye early in race 7, three…

Quiet card up at Darwin, seven races and only two we wanted to get involved with. The track’s rated Good and the weather is fine, so no excuses in the ground, it just comes down to where the value is. Anson Bay is short at $2.35 in Race 4 and looks the right favourite, but a hot speed on him from a midfield draw means we’re not just handing over the money. We’re keener on Capitol Hill at $4.80 in Race 6, drawn on the rail over the mile with the pace looking soft up front. Two worth a look, the rest can wait.
8. Anson Bay $2.35
Barrier 5 · Midfield · Hot pace
Hot early speed here, and that plays right into #8 Anson Bay’s hands. He settles midfield and lets the leaders cook each other off, then picks them up late; he’s won his last start after a couple of seconds beforehand, so he’s finding the line at the right time. Blinkers and nose roll stay on with Bensley aboard from gate 5. He’s short at $2.35, but on this tempo I’m happy to be on him.
5. Capitol Hill $4.80
Barrier 1 · Midfield · Soft pace
#3 Fury is no good to me at $2 in a six-horse field. Give me #5 Capitol Hill instead. He draws the rail, comes back off a freshen with the blinkers and tongue tie on, and Jason Lyon takes the ride. He settles midfield, but from gate 1 he gets a cheap run on the fence and finishes his races off hard. Two thirds and a fifth before the let-up say he’s ready. $4.80, and I want him to win.
