Cranbourne Horse Racing Tips Fri 9/10/26
Nine races at Cranbourne and we're only keen on one,…

Good track and fine skies at Darwin, so no wet-track excuses today, the form should hold up and we can trust what we’re seeing. That makes it a fair read, and with a straight deck it comes down to price and the map rather than who handles the ground. We went through the card and there’s three worth a look, nothing we’re going overboard on. Off-pace types in the two middle-distance races and Cap Ten at a fair price over the 1200, plus Morgana out of a wide gate in the Guineas to round it off.
1. Hennessy Lad $3.80
Barrier 4 · Off Pace · No leader
#1 Hennessy Lad ran a nice second last start and gets the blinkers on here. It’s a no-leader race, so nobody’s handing out an easy lead, but Tennessee Whiskey has the same problem, settling just as far back from a wider gate, yet you’re asked to take $4 on him. Hennessy Lad gives me $3.80, gate 4, and Sweeney can time a run. He finishes off well enough to make that tempo work. I’m on him.
1. Cap Ten $6.50
Barrier 5 · Midfield · Genuine pace
Genuine speed on and #5 Montjuic Magic wants to do the leading at $1.80. In a six-horse field that’s short enough for me. #1 Cap Ten sits just off them from gate 5, has a win or two in recent starts, and with the blinkers and tongue tie on he can pounce late. $6.50, take him.
11. Morgana $8.50
Barrier 8 · Off Pace · Soft pace
$3.50 on #7 Maldini doesn’t grab me when he’s coming from the back in a race with no real tempo, and #11 Morgana settles in the same spot for a lot more money. Tongue tie goes on for Joe Bowditch, gate 8 is fair, and at $8.50 I only need her to pick up one or two off them late. Happy to take the roughie.
