Caulfield Horse Racing Tips Sat 15/8/26
$7.50 for Behaviour in the opener is where I keep landing at Caulfield, and it’s a hot speed race in a 12-horse field, so he gets his chance from midfield. Soft 6 with cloud about, and that’s enough to stop me taking every short one. Five we like across the card, but no standout, so it’s a spread day rather than a get-out day. The two Group 3 races are the tricky read, both under $3, and I’d rather take the price in the opener and the Listed than pay unders for the fancied ones.

Hot speed in a 12-horse sprint, and #9 Educated has to cross from gate 8 to get there. That’s hard work at $3. #4 Behaviour won last start, races with the blinkers on, and from gate 6 he can sit midfield and pick up the pieces when they come back to him. $7.50 for a horse coming off a win with the tempo set up for him, yes please.

Not a leader in sight over 1400m, and #2 Duchess Zou has the pace to use gate 6 and put herself right where she wants to be. Blinkers stay on for Ciaron Maher, and she’s won three of her last four. Ten Commandments has to run them down from midfield off a couple of ordinary runs before that. I’m happy taking $3.60 on the one making her own luck.

I’m with #2 Closer To Free resuming here. He’s drawn wide in 9, but they’ll go hard early over 1100m, so Zahra doesn’t need to burn him up crossing. Let them fight it out in front and he can finish over the top of them. $2.50 is short, and I’m still taking it.

Four straight wins for #1 Lara Antipova, but she’s drawn 8 and has to work to cross. #5 Natural Fling sits inside her from gate 5 with Damian Lane, and she’ll be there first. $2.60, have her.

Barrier 10 · Midfield · Hot pace
Blinkers on for the first time and Ciaron Maher has him ready. #7 Recommendation is drawn 10 in a Listed sprint where the tempo looks hot, and that suits a horse settling midfield off the speed. Shadhavar has to hold up in front from gate 5 with all that pressure behind her. At $5 for the one getting the run of the race late, I’d rather be with Recommendation.
