Casino Horse Racing Tips Thu 25/6/26

Casino is rated a Heavy 10, and even with fine weather overhead they’re slogging through proper heavy ground today. That sort of bog turns the form upside down, so we’re leaning on horses that handle the wet and get a soft run rather than the short ones up top. Race 1 is the one we love, where there’s no genuine leader and the map opens right up for Frictional Force from gate 2, and at $12 for him there’s real value to chase. We’ve found five worth a look across the six races, but the rest can wait behind that first one.

Race 1Best Bet
1:05pm · 1900m · Handicap · 5 runners

8. Frictional Force $12.00

Barrier 2 · Midfield · No leader

Our model’s top value pick in this race at $12.00. No clear leader, midfield trip from gate 2, on a heavy track.

Race 3
2:15pm · 1400m · Mdn Hcp · 8 runners

10. Strenuous $8.50

Barrier 6 · Midfield · Soft pace

Visors on for the first time, that’s the hook with #10 Strenuous. The favourite Navy Kiss controls things up front in a soft-run race, but at $1.55 it’s cramped for a horse that keeps running second without winning. Strenuous settles off them, and the new gear should help him build into it and run over the top late. At $8.50, I’m happy to take him on.

Race 4
2:50pm · 1300m · Hcp (Bm66) · 8 runners

8. Herald Angel $4.80

Barrier 7 · Off Midfield · Soft pace

Prestige Gundy is the one I want to beat at $3. In a soft-run race it settles last off the pace, and that’s a real query for a short one. #8 Herald Angel sits a length or two closer from gate 7, comes off a second last start, and Jett Newman stays on for Matthew Dunn. On a heavy track I’d rather take the horse with the better spot at $4.80 than the favourite with the harder run.

Race 5
3:25pm · 1000m · Hcp (Bm66) · 9 runners

4. Bring Me Saki $4.00

Barrier 1 · Midfield · Genuine pace

Genuine speed up front, gate 1, blinkers on. #4 Bring Me Saki gets towed into it while they burn the early sprint. At $4 he reads better than taking $3 on the fav stuck out in gate 8. I’m on him.

Race 6
4:05pm · 1400m · Hcp (Bm58) · 12 runners

2. Lofty Macsporran $4.20

Barrier 4 · Backmarker · Soft pace

#2 Lofty Macsporran is racing into this, a win and a third from his last three, and Matthew Dunn keeps them ticking over. Blinkers go back on, he draws 4, and settles close enough that he won’t need the race to fall in his lap. Jett Newman stays on. At $4.20, he’s the one I like.
