Carnarvon Horse Racing Tips Fri 26/6/26

Quiet little card at Carnarvon, six races and only two we’re keen on. Track’s a Good and the weather’s fine, so no excuses there, it just means we’re being picky about where the value sits. Race 3 is the no-leader puzzle, and that suits Candlelight Sherif at $7 to come from off the pace and run over the top of them. Then it’s Kunapipi at $6 in Race 4, drawn 2 in a genuine sprint where she can sit midfield and get every chance. Two worth a look, the rest can wait.

4. Candlelight Sherif $7.00

Barrier 8 · Off Pace · No leader

Blinkers go on and that’s the hook here. #4 Candlelight Sherif ran third last start, and the gear change should help him switch on. There’s no genuine leader, so he can drop right back and save it all for one late run while they crawl up front. Gate 8 is the knock, but I’d rather take $7 on him than $2.45 on #3 Belvedere Rock sitting just ahead with the same trip to make. $7, I’m on.

6. Kunapipi $6.00

Barrier 2 · Midfield · Genuine pace

Genuine speed up front, and #6 Kunapipi is the one who profits. He settles midfield from gate 2 and gets the cosy run while #2 Devils I has to grind from gate 7 and hold them off. At $3.70 the fav’s no thanks for me. A couple of thirds lately says Kunapipi’s ready. Take him each-way at $6.
