Inside draw, winkers on, and ran fifth fresh off the spell. Magnachine at $8.50 is where I’m at in a race without a clear leader. The favourite is $3.10 and settles even further back from gate 3, so I’m not paying that quote about a horse with the same problem. Rather have the eight and a half about Magnachine getting the rail.

Give me Thor’s Angel at $3.80. Lucy Fiore on for her old man Brandon, drawn 2, and the bloke is finding the line, placed last start after winning two back. Redrye has to come across from gate 8 in a 2200m staying race, that is too much work for $3.90. Late kick from the rail wins these. Take Thor’s Angel.

Where’s the value in race 8? Rainline at $3.80, in winning form with a win and a second across his last three. The $3.40 fav hasn’t won this prep. On him.
