Launceston Horse Racing Tips Fri 16/10/26
Soft 5 at Launceston with the rail out 6m the…

Soft 7 at Belmont with showers about, and the prices are where it gets interesting today. Three we like across the card, and not one of them is short. Xentaro in the 2 at $5, then Rainline and Rock The Market both out around the $7 mark. Couple of those races have no clear leader, so the speed map is anyone’s guess early. That’s part of why the value’s there. No standout to single out today, just three worth a look where the money reads better than the favourites.
1. Xentaro $5.00
Barrier 6 · Off Pace · No leader
#1 Xentaro has been winning plenty of late, three from his last four, and he gets back to charge home rather than lead. There’s no genuine leader here, so I want a horse that can run over the top of them. The favourite settles midfield with the same query, and I’d rather take $5 on the one in better nick than $2.40 on Zourun Run. Gate 6 is fine, Natika Riordan stays on.
2. Rainline $7.00
Barrier 6 · Midfield · Genuine pace
Genuine speed on up front, so the closers come into it. #2 Rainline gets back midfield and can pick them off late at $7. The favourite sits off the pace too, settling even further back, so I’m not taking $1.65 on #1 Mt Shirataku with the same problem. Brad Parnham from gate 6, ran fourth last start but won a couple back this time in. I’m with Rainline at the overs.
9. Rock The Market $7.00
Barrier 4 · Off Pace · No leader
$7 for #9 Rock The Market looks too big to me. He’s won twice and placed in most of the rest around a couple of let-ups, and he’s got the late turn of foot to swoop in a race with no genuine leader. Spicy Thang at $2.45 has to do it all from gate 9. Take Rock The Market to win.
