All Star caught the eye early in race 7, three…

Return to racing at Belmont, and the Belmont Classic in Race 3 is the one that draws the eye. We went through the card properly though, and our best sits right at the end, $7 on Yes I Know in Race 8. Track’s a Soft 6 and racing fair, which helps the ones we’re keen on. Four we like across the eight, and the money’s in the bigger prices, not the short ones.
1. They’Reallsisters $3.80
Barrier 14 · Midfield · No leader
Blinkers go on for the first time and that’s the hook. #1 They’Reallsisters brings a win and two seconds from her three runs before the spell, and comes back fresh. Gate 14 is the worry in a big field, but with no clear leader up front she can slot in from midfield and get her chance. At $3.80, I’m on her.
5. Desert Dancing $6.00
Barrier 10 · Off Midfield · No leader
The favourite’s no good to me at $3.10. #8 Mai Aloha has been patchy, and #5 Desert Dancing gives me double the price for a horse racing more honestly. He ran third then fourth his last two, handles a soft track, and with no genuine leader here he can roll forward and sit closer than usual off gate 10. At $6, I’m happy to take him.
14. Western Miss $1.85
Barrier 12 · Pace · No leader
Genuine speed is missing here, and from gate 12 with William Pike up, #14 Western Miss can bowl across and make her own luck out in front. She’s won her last two and looks to be peaking. Yes she’s short at $1.85, but in a no-leader race the one that gets to the front is the one they all have to run down. I’m with her.
5. Yes I Know $7.00
Barrier 15 · Midfield · No leader
Double the fav’s price is what gets me in. #5 Yes I Know keeps hitting the placings, Clint Johnston-Porter stays on, and the wide gate is the only knock. #13 In Confidence at $3.60 is short enough on a soft track; I’d rather take the $7 and the value. Easy.
