Caulfield Horse Racing Tips Sat 10/10/26
Caulfield runs a staying card, from 1100m out to 2400m,…

Belmont has the Beaufine Stakes as its feature in Race 7, but we didn’t land on anything there, so we’ve left it alone rather than force a play. Track’s a Soft 5 and the weather’s fine overhead, so it’s not a bog, just a bit of give in the ground. We’ve gone through the card and come out with five we like across the day, from Morning Thunder at $5 in the opener down to $3.20 on Reminiscence in the last. Nothing here we’re smashing, but a few worth a look if the prices hold.
1. Morning Thunder $5.00
Barrier 6 · Midfield · Genuine pace
Tongue tie goes on for the first time, and that is the hook with #1 Morning Thunder. He won two back, then ran second off the freshen, so he comes in ready. There is genuine speed up front, which suits a horse settling midfield off them. The favourite has to do the work on-pace from a wide gate at $2.80, and I’d rather take the $5 on the one getting the softer run. On him each-way.
1. Deltason $10.00
Barrier 9 · Off Pace · Soft pace
Ten bucks looks overs for a horse coming off a second and a third. #1 Deltason gets back from a wide gate, sure, but so does the favourite, and I’m not taking $2.80 for #10 Deep Lyric with the exact same map worry. Ramoly stays on and the tongue tie goes on first time. At $10, I’m on.
4. Allentown $9.50
Barrier 9 · Off Pace · Genuine pace
Genuine speed up front means the closers get something to aim at, and that is where #4 Allentown comes in. He has been knocking on the door with a couple of seconds lately, and McGruddy drops him in off them ready to pounce late. Gate 9 is the worry over the short trip, but at $9.50 against the $3.20 favourite in Brazen Butcher doing all the work up front, I am happy to take the overs.
1. Kisses From Kelly $5.50
Barrier 6 · Off Pace · Soft pace
#1 Kisses From Kelly comes here off a win, with a second the run before, so she’s peaking at the right time. The pace looks soft, but that’s no worry when she runs over the top of them late over the 2200m. At $5.50 she’s a better gamble than the $3.80 on First Encounter sitting closer without a win in her. On her.
10. Reminiscence $3.20
Barrier 7 · Midfield · Genuine pace
Pike sticks with #10 Reminiscence for the Williams yard, and that’s the booking I want in a scratchy 15-horse field. He’s won his last two, maps to get a soft run in midfield off gate 7, and the blinkers stay on. At $3.20 in a race this size, I’m on.
