Belmont Horse Racing Tips Sat 4/7/26
Overcast day out at Belmont and the track’s rated a Soft 7, so they’ll be racing on a bit of give underfoot. We went through the eight races and landed on four worth a look, nothing we’re prepared to call a standout. Saturday Sesh at $6.50 in the second is the sort of price we like when a horse can settle off the speed, and the Aquanita Stakes in Race 6 has Linchpin at $8 from a handy draw. Soft ground makes the map matter, so we want runners who can find a spot early rather than get caught wide and worked over.

The favourite’s $3.20 and has to come from gate 9, so I’m happy to take it on. #1 Saturday Sesh won last start, draws softer in gate 4, and even in a slow-run race knows how to finish off late. The tongue tie stays on. At $6.50 I’d rather be with the one getting the better run than the short price doing it tough out wide.

Blinkers going on and William Pike in the saddle, that’s a booking I want at $4. #2 Keep Ita Mystery draws the fence in gate 2 and gets his chance in a genuinely run race from midfield. The favourite is $2.25 and sits in the same spot from a wider gate, so I’d rather take the better price on the one getting the softer run. On him.

#15 Western Jet at $3.40. Gate 3, won two back and placed last start off a let-up, and with no genuine leader he’ll be swooping late over the top of them. Pike stays on. Have it.

5. Linchpin $8.00
Barrier 3 · Midfield · Genuine pace
Eight bucks is plenty on a horse that maps this well. #5 Linchpin draws inside in gate 3 and gets a lovely run midfield behind a genuine tempo, so he’ll be running them down late. #2 Westbound is $2.35 and has to work from gate 7. I’m on the overs.
