Beaudesert Horse Racing Tips Tue 7/7/26

The money’s been coming for Dominator in Race 2 all morning, firming right in, but that’s a race we’ve left alone. Plenty are keen to take the short ones today, and we’re happy to go the other way. Bay Of The South sits favourite at $3.20 in Race 3, only he’s got to lead a field of 20 across, and that’s a big ask. It’s a Good 4 and fine overhead, so no help from the ground either way. We’d sooner be with the ones paying a fair price, $6 on Steady On and $7.50 on Lebanese, where we reckon the value’s a bit better.

Race 1
12:43pm · 1650m · Mdn Hcp · 8 runners

5. Steady On $6.00

Barrier 3 · Off Pace · Soft pace

The blinkers coming off is the hook here. #5 Steady On has been racing a bit keen, and stripping them first time can settle him and help him finish it off. He comes in at $6 with Karl Zechner up and gate 3 to land a spot close enough. The favourite at $2.15 still has plenty to prove, and I’d rather take the each-way at $6 on Steady On, who was second a couple back and looks ready to sharpen.

Race 3
1:53pm · 1100m · Mdn Hcp · 10 runners

4. Bay Of The South $3.20

Barrier 6 · Leader · Soft pace

No genuine speed on paper, so the one that rolls to the front is where I want to be. #4 Bay Of The South can bowl along for Chelsea Baker, and with the tongue control and lugging bit coming off, Gollan has him sharper first time. From gate 6 he crosses and dictates his own race. King’s Coin at $2.25 then has to run him down. Take Bay Of The South at $3.20.

Race 4
2:28pm · 1200m · Hcp (C2) · 9 runners

6. Lebanese $7.50

Barrier 4 · Off Pace · No leader

#8 Sequel does nothing for me at $2.50; it hasn’t been putting them away and that’s plenty short. #6 Lebanese gives me $7.50 with the blinkers going on, gate 4, and Tony Gollan sharpening him up for Leah Martyn. I’m happy to take the overs.

Race 6
3:38pm · 2450m · Hcp (Bm65) · 12 runners

5. Scottish Pearl $6.00

Barrier 3 · Midfield · Hot pace

Hot speed up front, so I want the one swooping, not the one making it. #5 Scottish Pearl gets the midfield trip at $6, hitting the line with a third and a fourth his last two starts, and the blinkers go on. #2 Demarcay has to burn to lead at $4.80. On him.
