Ballina Horse Racing Tips Sun 21/6/26
Heavy 10 at Ballina and we’ve found something to like in seven of the nine. The ground is the story. A lot of these races have no clear leader, so the run early is going to count for plenty, and the horses that can land midfield off a soft tempo are the ones we keep coming back to. He Is The Kiss in the last is the one we love, $4.80 and drawn to get the right run. Busy card, plenty going on, and the value sits with the off-pace types.

#2 Sheriff’s Star is too short for me at $1.80 on a Heavy 10. #4 Legin gets gate 5, keeps finding the placings without quite knocking one over, and from midfield he’s no worse off than the fav sitting just behind the same speed. Same problem, bigger price. At $8.50 each-way, I’m on.

I’m on #5 Sinatra at $5.50. Won last start, blinkers stay on, and from gate 2 he lands close in a race with no genuine leader. The favourite has the same off-pace problem for a lot less. Easy call.

Gate 2 and the blinkers on over the 1000m. #3 Akku gives me the better draw at $6.50, while #1 Torque So Hot has to weave through from gate 7 at $1.95. I’m with Akku.

Where’s the value in race 5? #6 Secret Statement at $7.50. The favourite’s $1.70 and short enough on a Heavy 10, while Secret Statement gets the rail from gate 2 with the tongue tie on to help him finish. No genuine leader up front, so he can creep into it and run over the top of them late. I’m taking the each-way.

#5 Coccinella finally found the line for a third last start, and the blinkers and tongue tie come on now to sharpen him up. The fav settles off the speed the same as him, so $1.95 is no good to me from gate 1. I’ll take the $6. Done.
