Launceston Horse Racing Tips Fri 16/10/26
Soft 5 at Launceston with the rail out 6m the…

Six races at Alice Springs and the market’s leaning on the wrong ones for mine. Revolution Rising in the 3 is the one we keep coming back to at $4.40, drawn 2 and sitting midfield in a race that should be run on its merits. The track’s a Good and it’s fine overhead, so there’s no excuse hiding in the going today. Three we like across the card, and the one I reckon they keep underrating is Grinzinger Lass in the 5 at $8.50, off the pace in a race with no obvious leader.
2. Revolution Rising $4.40
Barrier 2 · Midfield · Genuine pace
Blinkers go on #2 Revolution Rising and that’s the hook for me. Genuine speed up front means a midfielder gets the race run to suit, and he’s been knocking on the door his last few. Drawn 2, Lek Maloney aboard. The favourite’s $2.60 leading and has to do all the work in front; I’d rather take $4.40 and let them burn each other off.
5. Pompeii Empire $4.80
Barrier 3 · Midfield · Genuine pace
$4.80 for #5 Pompeii Empire is the kind of overs I’m chasing. Genuine speed up front means he gets the soft run in behind from gate 3 while the $2.40 fav does all the grafting out in front. On him.
5. Grinzinger Lass $8.50
Barrier 4 · Off Pace · No leader
The fav doesn’t do it for me at $2.60. #4 Zestiman has to win from midfield in a race with no genuine leader, and that’s plenty short in a six-horse field. #5 Grinzinger Lass has been quiet since a freshen, but she owns a turn of foot, and in a slow-run sprint home from gate 4 that’s worth a look at $8.50. Happy to take the overs.
