Albury Horse Racing Tips Mon 29/6/26

Bessie La Belle in Race 6 is the one we keep coming back to, $6 on her looks overs at Albury today. It’s a Heavy 8 with cloud about, so they’re racing on testing ground all afternoon, and a few of these races have no clear leader. That’s the angle for us. When nobody wants the front, the map gets messy and the better-priced runners can sneak into it. Seven races and we’ve got a tip in each, but Bessie is the one we like most.

Race 1
12:40pm · 1175m · Mdn Hcp · 7 runners

5. Brutal To The Max $5.50

Barrier 2 · Midfield · No leader

The Norton Bit going on first time is the hook. #5 Brutal To The Max draws gate 2, and with no genuine leader in this, he can use that inside draw to land handy rather than get buried back in the ruck. The favourite, #1 Lord Of Valor, is $2.10 and has to come from out the back to round them up. I’d rather take $5.50 on the one who can sit closer and make his own luck. On him.

10. She’s First Lady $5.50

Barrier 3 · Off Pace · No leader

$1.90 for #3 Postwar doesn’t tempt me. He gets back just like everything else, and in a no-leader scramble on a Heavy 8 that’s no good thing at odds-on. #10 She’s First Lady sits in the same part of the race, draws a touch better, and gets the blinkers first up. At $5.50, she’s the better gamble.

Race 3
1:50pm · 1500m · Mdn Plate · 9 runners

10. Royal Overture $3.10

Barrier 5 · Off Pace · Soft pace

Yeah, I’m on #10 Royal Overture here. He ran third last start and looks ready to peak third-up. The pace shapes soft, but the favourite has the same problem at a shorter quote, #1 Chief Of War settling back from gate 8 with plenty to do. Royal Overture draws inside him and gets the better run. $3.10, easy.

Race 4
2:25pm · 1600m · Hcp (Bm58) · 11 runners

5. Cayman Island $5.50

Barrier 1 · Pace · Soft pace

Soft pace and a rail draw, that’s all #5 Cayman Island needs. He can bowl along in front while the fav, #13 Just Like Liam, comes from gate 11 with plenty of work to do. $5.50, I’m with him.

Race 5 abandoned. Tip void, no result.

7. Acheson $8.50

Barrier 6 · Off Midfield · Soft pace

Where’s the value in race 5? #7 Acheson at $8.50. He won a couple not long back and strips fitter second-up. The fav, #4 Dupli Kate, gets back just the same, so $3.20 does nothing for me. I’ll take the price.

Race 6 abandoned. Tip void, no result.

1. Bessie La Belle $6.00

Barrier 6 · Midfield · No leader

No genuine leader, and that catches the favourite. #4 Brutal Force settles even further back from gate 1, so $3.30 does nothing for me. #1 Bessie La Belle won last start off a freshen and lands midfield with first crack at them. $6, I’m on her to win.

Race 7 abandoned. Tip void, no result.

2. Induction $5.00

Barrier 3 · Leader · Hot pace

$5 on #2 Induction and I don’t need much. He won last start, draws the fence in gate 3, and with this much speed set to cook the race up front, it’s there for one getting cover to come over the top. Risky Whisky’s stuck out in gate 10 at $3.60. Easy enough.
