The Track
Grafton racetrack is distinguished by a 400-metre straight, a cambered home bend, and one of the fastest draining surfaces on the north coast.
The Grafton Racecourse has a total track circumference of 1940 metres and a width of around 25 metres. It features 5 chutes at 2350 metres, 1700 metres, 1200 metres, 1100 metres, and 1000 metres.

The $200,000 Westlawn Finance Grafton Cup is the most prominent race event at Grafton, attracting crowds from across the region. The gates to the racecourse open at 10:30 am, and visitors can take advantage of the buses running to and from the venue. Live music on the Westlawn adds to the ambience of the occasion, making it Grafton’s most significant social event.
