Among the multitude of online betting sites that entertain Australian punters, only a handful compare to the all-inclusive services of CrownBet. Although it was licensed in the Northern Territory, CrownBet operates from offices based in Sydney. With its launch in 2005, owned then by A. Kay bookmaker, CrownBet was originally branded Betezy. In 2014, Betezy underwent a re-branding process when its assets were purchased by Matthew Trip and it became known as BetEasy. Following a 2015 joint venture with Crown Resorts, BetEasy was re-branded again and finally arrived at its current name, “CrownBet”. With its focus on the Australian market, CrownBet has wasted no time in securing an influx of traffic. Here’s our detailed review on CrownBet. Read on to decide if it’s the right fit for your online gambling needs.

Website, Betting Types and the Markets

The CrownBet website is designed thoughtfully, primarily keeping the needs of its users in mind. The layout is divided into three basic columns that continue throughout the site. On your left you can find a menu for Sports, Racing and quick shortcuts. The betting slip is placed to your right and in the centre you can find the display for markets and odds. You can filter your selected sports, with the help of “Filters” available on top. The betting slip has a modern feel where you can make multiple selections, review an automatic display of potential returns for any stake amount you enter and even toggle the display. The site is nothing out of the ordinary, however, it gets the job done by being packed with features and contains few distractions. The markets on offer are exciting for both sports and racing enthusiasts. You can check for Thoroughbred, Harness and Greyhound racing. Furthermore, there are Jockey Challenges and Racing Futures for your added interest. Sports fans can choose between the obvious NRL, NHL and NBA. But markets also cover boxing, cricket, MMA, soccer, tennis and a variety of other sports.

Minimum Bets

As per the practice of all the online betting sites, the amount for a minimum bet accepted at CrownBet depends upon the form of betting a punter chooses. When betting through the CrownBet website, you are required to make a minimum bet of $0.50. Single or multiple racing bets made through the telephone accept a minimum of $50. For single or multiple sports bets, punters need to wager a minimum of $20.

Deposit Methods

For any method of banking you prefer, the minimum amount to deposit is $5 at CrownBet. You can choose credit cards. While CrownBet does not charge fees for them, your bank or financial institution might have a different policy. Direct deposit your funds into the CrownBet account through POLi or make a Bank Deposit/Transfer to the CrownBet account. Bank transactions are processed gradually and can take up to 48 hours. Accepted methods also include Bpay, Cheques and PayPal. The minimum amount for cashing out winnings is also $5. You can choose between Electronic Funds Transfer or Telegraphic Transfer. For both deposits and withdrawals, CrownBet requires that customers complete ID verification or they risk account suspension. Not wanting to be left behind, CrownBet has brought forward a competitive Prepaid Visa Card for its members, known as the “CrownBet Card”. It allows you to make a transfer of funds from your CrownBet account on to the card itself. Funds can be instantly accessed at ATMs throughout Australia, Visa payWave or at terminals for EFTPOS.

If there’s any reason to give away free bets, CrownBet will issue you one in bonus. Crownbet has had incredible promotions for signing up, loyalty rewards and competitions on social media. Promotions for sports betting run across various sports: soccer, NRL, NHL and the NBA, for example. CrownBet’s Reward program is a glorious loyalty scheme in line with those offered by premier online betting sites. 3. Alojamiento says:

This CrownBet review will show you some of the amazing deals they are offering to both new members and existing ones. They want to get your business, and they want to keep you as a member after you have joined, so they are offering some truly amazing incentives.

  4. David Faulkner says:

    Customer service needs to improve

  5. David Faulkner says:

If you don’t want to give your credit card details they make it difficult to deposit funds, just as bad as the rest of these betting agencies and if you can actually deposit funds into your account what about easy access to your winnings? the industry needs to be regulated more to protect the small punters.

  6. Bobby Mac says:

Don’t be fooled. I started earning points and built nicely to 400,000 points….THEN…..they restrict your betting to small amounts and remove you from ALL promotions making earning points a snails pace. (No points back offers)
    Its a complete CON.
I reckon you would have to lose half a million dollars to get a $20k trip to Monaco. Only perennial losers and victims will be allowed to earn that many points by Crownbet. Winning punters are obviously not welcome.

  7. Andrew Taylor says:

Stay away from Crownbet the don’t offer any bonus in Vic NSw SA when you join. If you start to earn points but are winning money they restrict you from earning and take your points. They only reward losing punters. Steer clear better options

  8. jake says:

Crownbet is a very unprofessional company and i will be spreading the word about them so that they cannot rip off more people and treat their customer’s like S#!T anymore. Stay away is my advice.

  9. Andrew Taylor says:

Customer service is a joke. They cant find a deposit till it suits them days later.
