Who is BetDeluxe?
These guys are a boutique betting agency that is 100% owned and operated out of Melbourne Australia, they were newly added to the Australian online betting landscape during mid-2020. Look for them at betdeluxe.com.au.
BetDeluxe is the trading name of well known Melbourne based on course bookmaker Noah Rose. In early 2020, he decided to enter the world of Australian online betting, creating his own agency using the ‘Betmakers’ framework and platform. BetDeluxe is the end result. Pretty good for a first crack I reckon!
Sponsorship and Branding
There are none at the time of writing. Bear in mind this is a small boutique agency that is newly minted.
Company Website/App Overview
My first impression is that the overall layout is a simplistic one, nice and compact but with ample room for expansion. The theming is a black background with white and orange accents. It’s like the inverse of the NEDS layout. I wonder if these guys are West Tigers fans?
Getting around the site is pretty easy. The main page is compact, meaning you can get from top to bottom very quickly, which is better than some other sites that seem to go on forever. There are only four menu options (home, racing, sports and promotions) so it’s very lean, while the other pages to the company, legal/policies and quick links are shown towards the bottom but still remain accessible and close by.
The BetDeluxe TV facility is also on the main page, where you can either click the play button or open a new tab to view whatever meeting and race are on. This feature is also toward the bottom of the page.
The layout here is nicely displayed, separating gallops, trots and greyhounds with race meetings on the day nested within. There are two tabs to separate between AUS/NZ meets versus International. Other betting sites tend to just lump them all together making it awkward to find a race meeting quickly. The way BetDeluxe does it is a nice touch.
This page has two sections, the first being matches/games that are coming up within the next few hours. If on mobile, just swipe right to see what’s on the schedule. The second is a list of all sporting codes that BetDeluxe covers. Click on any sport to drill into any upcoming fixtures, and place bets on the market types that are available for that sport/event/match.
Promotions have its own page and is visible once your account is created and you are logged on. Please note that BetDeluxe reserves the right to apply and/or deny members access to online promotions based on their address and geographic location. This is because certain states such as South Australia and Western Australia have banned promotional activity derived from gambling and betting sites. If you were thinking about it, a VPN won’t work. Good try.
Unfortunately for all you Android and iPhone junkies, there is currently no mobile app. Apparently, an APK was made available from the footer of the website previously, but it’s no longer available. No matter, everything is driven through the website via a Browser and it all looks OK, even on your phone.
Sign Up Process
So you want to join up? Easy as. Click the Join button (top right of the screen). The signing up process takes but two steps:
- Enter email, password, username, mobile, DOB.
- Enter address details.
It’s probably one of the easiest signups I’ve seen. As with all signups to Australian betting agencies, you’ll need to provide copies of authenticated documents and identification before any withdrawals can be made. Refer to the Account Verification page to see what the requirements are.
Funding Types/Deposit Methods
There are three options:
- POLI – this is made available instantly into your account.
- Direct Transfer – this is made available after 1-2 days. There is a minimum $20 deposit.
- Visa and MasterCard – this is made available instantly into your account.
Bank Transfer is the only withdrawal option available so far. It’s not instant, and it might take anywhere from 1 to 2 days to see your money, particularly longer if you are withdrawing on weekends or long weekends and public holidays.
The BetDeluxe website is encrypted with its security certificate managed by Amazon. The site connected to the Internet uses TLS 1.3 and is encrypted and authenticated using AES-128 encryption. No chance of being intercepted online!
BetDeluxe cover all the Australian and New Zealand horse racing, trots and greyhound markets. All good on that front. Everything should be familiar to you if you’ve participated on other Australian betting sites as the layout is similar.
Other domestic and major overseas sports leagues are included, click the Sports option on the menu. Locally, the AFL, NRL, A-League, and Big Bash Cricket are covered. For fans of any particular team, you can check their odds and compare them to other betting agencies to see which has the better value.
However, Tennis and Rugby Union aren’t included. There is probably a good reason for those that, and it’s called COVID-19, due to those two sports having a high overseas travel involvement. It would be great to see them available in the future.
In terms of in-game market types, you have to check on each sport to see what is available, because they will be different. Usual suspects like match/game result, money line, points spread, total points/goals, odds/evens are mostly there, making for a basic rather than extensive set of options.
Betting Types/Features/Odds (Racing)
On any race card, the usual win, place and exotic options (quinella, exacta, trifecta, first four) are there.
For win bets, you can select the fixed option or the best of three TAB option (BT).
For place bets, you can select the fixed option or the MID option (guaranteed to pay the middle of the three TAB dividends).
For exotics, all bets are priced through SuperTab.
Other Betting Features (Racing)
- Live Racing – Yes, live racing is available and it’s free. Refer to the bottom of the main page. It uses BetVision technology and features meetings not normally covered by the PAYTV channels. At the time of writing, the coverage was aimed at low level overseas race meetings which may not necessarily interest Australian punters.
- Form Guide – Yes, you just click on the Form link on any race card. It’s comprehensive enough to provide you with all the information you require on a particular horse.
What’s Not Available
Featured Bets, Fluctuations, Bet Tracker, Speed Map and Tips are not available.
Yes, there is a dedicated page to this, pretty much the same information seen elsewhere on gambling and betting sites. Refer this page.

Work In Progress
- Widen sports markets to give punters more opportunity on a range of sports.
I’ll just add, Aussie punters I’m sure would welcome extra options for withdrawals, but all online betting businesses in Australia are hamstrung by legal issues related to alternative payment processors and cryptocurrencies which are heavily frowned upon by Racing and Government authorities because they can’t track the money trail through the banking system. So I doubt we’ll be seeing other withdrawal options anytime soon.
There’s not much more to add than to say that all the basics for an Australian online betting site are here. Bells and whistles might be in short supply but sometimes punters aren’t looking for the latest whizbang gizmo functionality, but just the ability to get a bet on quickly and be done with it.
In the meantime, Aussie punters have another online betting agency to check out. Jump right in and start playing!
