AFL Footy Tips – Round 9

Magpies vs Bulldogs AFL Expert Tips

Collingwood Magpies vs Western Bulldogs

The Collingwood Magpies are playing the Western Bulldogs this Friday at Marvel Stadium at 7:50 pm.

Both teams came out bitter losers last week after the Doggies lost to Port 69-86 and the Pies lost to the Tiges 86-113.

This definitely won’t be the Friday night game of the year.

But in saying that it should still be a decent game to watch,

The Magpies have beaten the Doggies in their last three games at Marvel Stadium which is something to take note of.

Expert Prediction:

Magpies

Hawks vs Tigers AFL Expert Tips

Hawthorn Hawks VS Richmond Tigers

The Hawthorn Hawks are playing the Richmond Tigers this Saturday at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) at 1:45 pm.

The Tigers are looking better and better as each week goes on this season.

After their cracking win against the Magpies last week they look to be in fine form to do so again this week.

The Hawks have a tough game ahead of them if they want to pull off a win this week, especially after drawing against the Tigers the last time they played at the MCG in August 2021.

Kangaroos vs Power AFL Expert Tips

North Melbourne Kangaroos VS Port Adelaide Power

The North Melbourne Kangaroos are playing the Port Adelaide Power this Saturday at Blundstone Arena at 2:10 pm.

The Roos have had a horrible start to the year, not going to lie… it’s been terrible!

Port haven’t been much better, but they have managed to prop themselves up into the center of the ladder.

This game has the potential to go either way but really I can’t see it going in the Roos favour.

Saints vs Cats AFL Expert Tips

St Kilda Saints VS Geelong Cats

The St Kilda Saints are playing the Geelong Cats this Saturday at Marvel Stadium at 4:35 pm.

This should be an absolute cracker of a game.

Of all the game this week, this is the one I will be taking time out to watch.

Though there is no room for either of these teams to shift into the top three this week, they both have the potential to jump into fourth position.

Swans vs Bombers AFL Expert Tips

Sydney Swans VS Essendon Bombers

The Sydney Swans are playing the Essendon Bombers this Saturday at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) at 7:25 pm.

The Bombers had an incredible win last week which could lead to the boost they need to start winning some games.

Unfortunately this week they are up against the Swannies who in my personal opinion have the potential to go the whole way this year.

With the Bombers previous performance this year it’s a little too early to tell what will happen for the rest of their season.

Suns vs Dockers AFL Expert Tips

Gold Coast Suns VS Fremantle Dockers

The Gold Coast Suns are playing the Fremantle Dockers this Sunday at Metricon Stadium at 1:40 pm.

The Dockers just keep on winning these past few weeks and show no signs of slowing down.

on the other hand the Suns showed promise last week after their win against the Swannies.

Worth taking note of is that the Suns have won the past three games against the Dockers at Metricon Stadium.

I’ll be putting money on both teams this week due to the game being played at Metricon.

Giants vs Blues AFL Expert Tips

GWS Giants VS Carlton Blues

The GWS Giants are playing the Carlton Blues this Sunday at Spotless Stadium at 3:20 pm.

GWS have won their past five games against the Blues even though they are currently sitting almost at the bottom of the ladder.

The boys in Blue have a clear cut lead stepping onto the field this week and have the foundations to break their losing cycle against the Giants.

their form leading into this match up speaks for itself.

Eagles vs Demons AFL Expert Tips

West Coast Eagles VS Melbourne Demons

The West Coast Eagles are playing the Melbourne Demons this Sunday the 15th of May at Optus Stadium at 5:20 pm.

Not the best game to finish off the week with, We can’t foresee any other outcome other than an absolute thrashing by the Demons.

AFL Footy Tips – Round 8

Port Adelaide Power vs Western Bulldogs

The Port Adelaide Power are playing the Western Bulldogs this Friday at Adelaide Oval at 7:30 pm.

It’s always tough heading over to Adelaide Oval to face Port Adelaide.

They are really starting to find their groove after a slow start this year.

Which ever way you see it, it’s going to be a cracking affair.

We reckon the Doggies are in for the fight as they look to make a push for the 8

Expert Prediction:

Bulldogs

Fremantle Dockers VS North Melbourne Kangaroos

The Fremantle Dockers are playing the North Melbourne Kangaroos this Friday at Optus Stadium at 8:40 pm.

The Dockers are in some form and looking like a top 4 side at this stage

How do the Roos possibly get over the line? Especially at Optus Stadium.

This will most likely get pretty ugly.

Freo easy.

Expert Prediction:

Dockers

Sydney Swans VS Gold Coast Suns

The Sydney Swans are playing the Gold Coast Suns this Saturday at the Sydney Cricket Oval (SCG) at 1:45 pm.

Say what you will about the Gold Coast Suns but they do have a crack.

Only went down to Melbourne by 13pts in rd 2 but since then have only battled away.

Could be one of those games where we see an upset. Not likely though.

At home in Sydney, You have to back the Swans all the way this round!

Expert Prediction:

Swans

Richmond Tigers VS Collingwood Magpies

The Richmond Tigers are playing the Collingwood Magpies this Saturday at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) at 1:45 pm.

What a game this should be.

Most certainly want to tune in for this one, whispers around the water cooler that Dusty could be back, if that’s the case…

Could be the morale boost the Tigers need, and after a dominant display last week they could prove too difficult if they can get on a roll against a Grundyless Pies.

Expert Prediction:

Tigers

GWS Giants VS Geelong Cats

The GWS Giants are playing the Geelong Cats this Saturday at Manuka Oval at 4:35 pm.

Interesting little match up, if big Jezza Cameron can get firing for the Cats they could prove to be tough to beat.

Such a tough ask putting a stop to the Geelong’s forward line.

Cats, no question about it.

Expert Prediction:

Cats

Brisbane Lions VS West Coast Eagles

The Brisbane Lions are playing the West Coast Eagles this Saturday at The Gabba at 7:25 pm.

Nothing to say here other than back the Lions.

Simple as that.

Expert Prediction:

Lions

Essendon Bombers VS Hawthorn Hawks

The Essendon Bombers are playing the Hawthorn Hawks this Saturday at Marvel Stadium at 7:25 pm.

This could be a really tricky game, Hawthorn looked amazing last week against the Dees.

On that alone I think you have to slightly favour them.

We would have liked to have seen the Bombers get a couple more wins on the board to date however it hasn’t yet happened, and we don’t see it happening this week either.

Expert Prediction:

Hawks

Melbourne Demons VS St Kilda Saints

The Melbourne Demons are playing the St Kilda Saints this Sunday at The Melbourne Cricket Ground at 1:10 pm.

Gee the Dees look to be in cruise control atm. With a stack of big ins including Jackson due back, how can the Saints possibly topple them?

Statistically speaking the Demons have to lose at least one game this season, and theoretically, it should be soon, as these teams are in such a close radius to one another that the Saints are still in their hometown. Most likely the Demons will win by less than 39, but our money this week is going on the Saints to pop a loss on their leaderboard.

Expert Prediction:

Saints

Carlton Blues VS Adelaide Crows

The Carlton Blues are playing the Adelaide Crows this Sunday at the Marvel Stadium at 4:40 pm.

A ripping game here, if the Blues we saw last week come to play then we think the Blues can win this.

Crows haven’t been that far away from it this season though, really putting together some nice performances.

Expert Prediction:

Blues

AFL Footy Tips – Round 7

West Coast Eagles VS Richmond Tigers

The West Coast Eagles are playing the Richmond Tigers this Friday at Optus Stadium at 8:10 pm.

Both of these teams are coming into this round after losing their past two games, last week the West Coast Eagles took on Port Adelaide Power only to be defeated in one of the biggest losses so far this season with a final score of 117-33, while the Richmond Tigers took on the Melbourne Demons what was to be seen as one of the closer games the Demons have played so far this season with a final score of 54-76 in the Demons favour.

The Tigers are currently sitting at 12th on the ladder with two wins and four losses while the Eagles are in 17th with one win and five losses to their name.

This week the Tigers will be playing at West Coasts’ home ground giving them the home-field advantage, however, that should prove not to be enough this week after the Tigers’ show against the Demons last week.

Expert Prediction: Tigers

Geelong Cats VS Fremantle Dockers

The Geelong Cats are playing the Fremantle Dockers this Saturday at GMHBA Stadium at 1:45 pm.

Both of these teams won last week with the Cats defeating the Roos 121-61, while the Dockers came through with a win against the Blues 97-62.

Both of these teams are seated well into the top eight coming into this round with Fremantle in second spot on the ladder with five wins and 1 loss against the Catters in sixth position with four wins and two losses to their name.

The Catters always play their best at their home ground and are incredibly difficult to beat with the entire Cats army at their backs, this week my money is on the Cats all the way.

Expert Prediction: Cats

Adelaide Crows VS GWS Giants

The Adelaide Crows are playing the GWS Giants this Saturday at Adelaide Oval at 2:10 pm.

Coming into this round the Adelaide Crows have won their past two games winning last week’s matchup against the Western Bulldogs 63-62, while on the other end of the scale the Giants are headed into this week’s game after a three-week losing streak including last weeks loss against the St Kilda Saints 77-60.

Both teams are headed into this week’s game at the lower end of the ladder with the Crows in the tenth position with three wins and three losses while the Giants are coming in at 15th position with one win and five losses.

So far this season GWS has shown some good form against some of the better teams of this year’s lineup, in contrast, the Crows have shown some pretty average games against some of the less than great teams this season, this week we have our money of the Giants.

Expert Prediction: Giants

Melbourne Demons VS Hawthorn Hawks

The Melbourne Demons are playing the Hawthorn Hawks this Saturday at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) at 4:35 pm.

Last week the Melbourne Demons took on the Richmond Tigers coming out victorious with a final score of 76-54, in contrast, the Hawthorn Hawks went up against the Sydney Swans last week only to be defeated 68-109.

The Demons are coming into this week’s matchup with a completely unblemished tally so far this season at the top of the ladder with six wins and zero losses. Richmond however, is coming into this week’s game in 12th position with two wins and four losses.

This week the Demons are the clear favourite to win, and there are plenty of reasons to see why. I won’t be going against my better judgement as I firmly believe the Demons will continue on their winning streak for a few more rounds to come.

Expert Prediction: Demons

St Kilda Saints VS Port Adelaide Power

The St Kilda Saints are playing the Port Adelaide Power this Saturday at Cazaly’s Stadium at 7:25 pm.

The Saints have had a stellar lead up to this week’s match against the Power having won their past five consecutive games only losing to the Magpies in round 1, last week the Saints defeated the Giants 77-60.

Port, on the other hand, haven’t had the best start to the season having won their first game of the season last week against the Eagles 117-33.

Currently, the Saints are sitting at 5th on the ladder with five wins and one loss while Port Adelaide at 14th is sitting in the group tied at the bottom with one win and five losses.

The Saints should have this one in the bag.

Expert Prediction: Saints

Carlton Blues VS North Melbourne Kangaroos

The Carlton Blues are playing the North Melbourne Kangaroos this Saturday at Marvel Stadium at 7:25 pm.

The Blues are coming into this week’s matchup on a loss-win-loss having lost last week against the Dockers 97-62, the Kangaroos on the other hand are stepping into this week’s game after losing the past four consecutive games having been defeated last week by Geelong 121-61.

Currently, Carlton is sitting just in the top eight in seventh position with four wins and two losses while North Melbourne is sitting way down the bottom of the ladder at 18th with one win and five losses to date.

The Boys in Blue have this round, no question about it!

Expert Prediction: Blues

Collingwood Magpies VS Gold Coast Suns

The Collingwood Magpies are playing the Gold Coast Suns this Sunday at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) at 1:10 pm.

Both the Magpies and the Suns have had ups and downs so far this season with the Pies winning last week’s game against the Bombers 93-82, while the Suns lost against Brisbane 132-80.

Collingwood is currently sitting just inside the top eight with three wins and three losses while Gold Coast are slightly lower in 13th position with two wins and 4 losses.

I would like to say the Magpies will win but this week I have a feeling the Suns should pull through the win.

Expert Prediction: Suns

Western Bulldogs VS Essendon Bombers

The Western Bulldogs are playing the Essendon Bombers this Sunday at Marvel Stadium at 3:20 pm.

So far this season both the Bulldogs and the Bombers have shown less than adequate football against some teams that both clubs should have been beaten quite easily given last year’s form. Last week the Bulldogs lost against the Adelaide Crows 62-63, while the Bombers lost against the Magpies 82-93.

Both teams are sitting outside the top eight with no signs of propping themselves up into it in the coming weeks, the Bulldogs are currently in 11th position with two wins and four losses while the bombers are in 16th position with one win and five losses.

Needless to say, both of these teams need a win, but someone has to lose and at Marvel stadium early afternoon, my money is on the Bombers.

Expert Prediction: Bombers

Sydney Swans VS Brisbane Lions

The Sydney Swans are playing the Brisbane Lions this Sunday at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) at 4:40 pm.

Both the Swans and the Lions have had fantastic starts to the season so far having each lost one game in the past six rounds, both teams are coming off a number of wins heading into this match but someone is going to lose which has the potential to change their ladder position significantly, last week the Swans defeated the Hawks 109-68 while the Lions came out on top after taking on the Suns winning 132-80.

As previously stated, both of these teams are top four at this point in time with five wins and one loss with Brisbane in third position and Sydney in fourth, however, someone has to lose.

This game should be the game of the week and they will both be battling hard to stay in the top four, this week we think the Swannies have the win.

Expert Prediction: Swans

AFL Footy Tips – Round 6

GWS Giants VS St Kilda Saints

The GWS Giants are playing the St Kilda Saints on Friday at Manuka Oval at 7:50 pm.

The Giants come into this round losing their last two games of the season, losing last week to the Melbourne Demons 120-53.
However, the Saints are diving into this match after winning their past four games of the season, having won last week against the Gold Coast Suns 87-61.
These teams currently find themselves at opposite ends of the ladder, with the Saints having four wins and one loss. In contrast, the Giants are coming in at one win to four losses, with the St Kilda Saints currently in the fourth spot against the Giants down at 14th.
I don’t like the Giants’ chances this week; so far this season they have only won against the Suns, while the Saints have taken on some of the “better teams” on the ladder and pulled off a win.

Expert Prediction: Saints

Western Bulldogs VS Adelaide Crows

The Western Bulldogs are playing the Adelaide Crows on Saturday at Mars Stadium at 1:45 pm.

The Western Bulldogs and the Adelaide Crows are coming into this round. Both have the same win-loss results for each week so far, both coming off a win last week; one of these teams will be shifting the ranks up the ladder while the other will be moving down.
The Bulldogs last week hammered the Kangaroos missing out on doubling their score by less than a goal with a final score of 139-71.
The Crows took on Richmond last week and won by three goals and a point at the final siren leading 101-82.
On paper, both of these teams are equally matched; however, we need to consider the last teams they have played against this season. Although, in contrast, both teams have played against top-four opposition, their scores against these teams plus the teams they have played at the lower end of the ladder are all over the place; no team is better off than the other.
This week my money is on the Western Bulldogs, simply because they are playing as the home team in Victoria. Still, this game has the potential to go either way.

Expert Prediction: Bulldogs

Port Adelaide Power VS West Coast Eagles

The Port Adelaide Power are playing the West Coast Eagles on Saturday at Adelaide Oval at 4:35 pm.

Welcome to the match for the wooden spoon!
So far this season, the Power has failed to rack up a win, having lost every match. Last week, Port Adelaide took on Carlton only to lose by three points with a final score of 94-91.
The Eagles have only notched one win so far this season against the Magpies in round four. Last week, however, the Swans put them back in their place, giving them an absolute walloping and doubling their score with a final result of 121-58.
The Power is currently situated at the bottom of the ladder with no wins yet. At the same time, the Eagles have managed to shift to the 16th position purely due to their victory, as they have the second-lowest percentage.
Port will win this week, and thanks to their percentage, they should move quite a few rungs up the ladder depending on how the other teams fair.

Expert Prediction: Power

Fremantle Dockers VS Carlton Blues

The Fremantle Dockers are playing the Carlton Blues on Saturday at Optus Stadium at 7:40 pm.

Both with four wins and one loss this season, the Dockers and the Blues are two extremely competitive teams right now both looking to make a huge change to their standings at the end of this round.

Having won their last three games, the Dockers have displayed decent form for the lead up to this match, last week beating the Bombers 107-59.

The Blues having only lost one match in round four against the Gold Coast Suns redeemed themselves last week only just winning against Port Adelaide with a final score of 94-91.

Both of these teams are coming into this game with four wins and one loss with Fremantle having a significantly higher percentage, for me this week I can only see Fremantle taking the bacon.

Expert Prediction: Dockers

North Melbourne Kangaroos VS Geelong Cats

The North Melbourne Kangaroos are playing the Geelong Cats on Sunday at Blundstone Arena at 1:10 pm.

North Melbourne has lost the past three games of the season, which has taken a significant toll on their rankings. They were defeated last week when they went up against the Bulldogs, in which the Bulldogs almost doubled their score in one of the most significant scores of the season so far 139-71.
The Catters also lost last week after winning their two games prior as they took on the Hawks only to end up losing by two goals. However, it should be noted that they had significantly more shots on goal, failing to line them up correctly.
With both teams being Victorian, it is safe to assume they are both pretty used to the cold; playing at Blundstone arena in Tasmania should not affect either team any more than the other.
So far this season, North has a better strike rate on goal than the Catters; however, the Catters have had a vastly higher amount of shots on goal in comparison.
If the Catters can slow down their game a little and concentrate a little more, then this one will well and truly be in the bag for them.

Expert Prediction: Cats

Gold Coast Suns VS Brisbane Lions

The Gold Coast Suns are playing the Brisbane Lions on Sunday at Metricon Stadium at 4:10 pm.

The Gold Coast Suns have had somewhat of an off-and-on start to the 2022 season; though they have notched two wins to the scoreboard this season, they lost last week to the Saints (87-61), which has now put them at three losses to two wins.
The Brisbane Lions on the other hand, have had a slightly better start to the season so far, winning four of their past five games, having only lost to the Geelong Cats in round 4; last week, the Brisbane Lions defeated the Collingwood Magpies 98-91.
This week Metricon Stadium will host the game, which the Gold Coast Suns have as their home ground; however, im not sure it will make much of a difference.
Brisbane has won the last six matches against the Suns and won the previous five by more than 40 points.

Expert Prediction: Lions

Richmond Tigers VS Melbourne Demons

The Richmond Tigers are playing the Melbourne Demons on Sunday at the MCG at 7:25 pm.

So far this season, the Richmond Tigers seem to have won a game, then lost a game only to win a game the following week. If history tells us anything, then this week, the Richmond Tigers should theoretically win this week’s match against the Melbourne Demons; last week, the Richmond Tigers lost against the Adelaide Crows 101-82.
The Melbourne Demons so far this season have sat clearly on the top of the ladder with five straight wins to their name, which has left them so far with an unblemished record, last week the Demons took on the GWS Giants, more than doubling their score for a final result of 120-53.
Brisbane has won the last six matches against the Suns and won the previous five by more than 40 points.
Melbourne Demons have won their last 12 matches, while Richmonds’ previous seven games at the MCG have all had a higher scoring second half.

Expert Prediction: Demons

Hawthorn Hawks VS Sydney Swans

The Hawthorn Hawks are playing the Sydney Swans this Monday at University of Tasmania Stadium at 12:30 pm.

After two straight losses, the Hawks seem to have turned things around last week when they beat the Geelong Cats 92-80.
However, the Sydney Swans have gone from strength to strength, having won all of their matches so far other than their loss to the Bulldogs in round 3. Last week the Swans put the Eagles to shame with the score at the end of the final siren at 121-58.
In seven of the last nine matches between Hawthorn and Sydney the underdog has won, with the highest-scoring quarter being the first in seven of the last eight games. Additionally, a final margin of fewer than 15 points has also been decided in seven of the previous nine games.

Expert Prediction: Hawks

Essendon Bombers VS Collingwood Magpies

The Essendon Bombers are playing the Collingwood Magpies this Monday at the MCG at 3:20 pm.

The Bombers and the Magpies have had a less than appealing start to the 2022 AFL season; the Bombers have only won one game this season, while the Magpies are not much further in front with two wins to their name.
Last week the Essendon Bombers played the Fremantle Dockers, in which the Dockers almost doubled the score of the Bombers at 107-59.
On the other hand, the Collingwood Magpies took on Brisbane last week, only just losing by 7 points with a final score of 98-91.
Collingwood has won each of the last ten games as the favourite; however, the stats for these two teams over the past two years point favourably in the direction of the Bombers this week to take home the win… and let’s be honest, this week they could do with the win.

Expert Prediction: Bombers

AFL Footy Tips – Round 5

Brisbane Lions VS Collingwood Magpies

The Brisbane Lions are playing the Collingwood Magpies on Thursday night at The Gabba at 7:35 pm.
The Lions are coming into this round, losing their first game of the season last week against Geelong 80-70.
The Magpies, however, after winning the first two games of the season, have since lost the past two, including against West Coast last week 74-87.
Incidentally, the Lions have won 11 of their past 12 games played at the Gabba and are currently sitting second from the top of the ladder while Collingwood hangs in at eighth spot.
Three of the past four night games that the Lions have played have all been decided by less than 15 points, and it will be safe to assume this will be the case for this match.
Additionally, the last three games played between the Lions and Pies have had a highest scoring 2nd quarter.
The Lions should win this match but expect it to be a close game.

Expert Prediction: Lions

North Melbourne Kangaroos VS Western Bulldogs

The North Melbourne Kangaroos are playing the Western Bulldogs on Friday evening at Marvel Stadium at 4:20 pm.
Neither the Kangaroos nor the Bulldogs are coming into this week’s match having a great start to the season; both teams have lost three of their first four games.
Last week the Kangaroos lost against the Swans 86-75, while the Bulldogs also lost last week’s game against Richmond 99-61.
Both Teams are currently seated in the bottom half of the ladder at 14th and 17th; it is worth mentioning that the Kangaroos have lost their past seven games as the underdog.
Though they are both near the bottom of the ladder, we must remember that the doggies were in the Grand Final last year and have had some pretty tough games in the first few weeks of the season.
Doggies all the way this round.

Expert Prediction: Bulldogs

West Coast Eagles VS Sydney Swans

The West Coast Eagles are playing the Sydney Swans on Friday night at Optus Stadium at 7:40 pm.
The Eagles are coming into this round, winning their first game of the season last week against Collingwood 87-74.
The Swans, however, also come into this round, having won last week against the Kangaroos 86-75, with the only difference being that they have also won two more games so far this season.
Currently, the Swans are sitting at 6th place on the ladder, with the Eagles way down at 15th.
The favourite has won nine of the last ten matches between the Eagles and the Swans, and if history tells us anything, there is an excellent chance we will see history repeat itself this round.

Expert Prediction: Swans

St. Kilda Saints VS Gold Coast Suns

The St Kilda Saints are playing the Gold Coast Suns on Saturday at Marvel Stadium at 1:45 pm.
The Saints are coming into this round, winning their past three games of the season, including winning last week against Hawthorn 142-73.
The Suns, however, are also coming into this round, having won last week against the Blues 92-62, having lost their two games prior.
Both teams are fairing pretty good so far this season, with the Saints currently at 4th on the ladder as the Suns sit a little lower and just out of the eight at 9th position.
St Kilda has won their last six matches against the Suns and is the favourite to win this round; the previous five games between these two teams have all been decided by a margin of 1-9 points.
The Saints should have this game, and it should be another close 1-9 point difference.

Expert Prediction: Saints

Adelaide Crows VS Richmond Tigers

The Adelaide Crows are playing the Richmond Tigers on Saturday at Adelaide Oval at 4:35 pm.
The Crows are coming into this round after losing last week to the Bombers in a close score of 103-99.
The Suns are stepping into this round having won last week against the Bulldogs 99-61.
Both teams are currently sitting just outside the top eight, with the Tigers at tenth position while the Crows sit a little lower in 12th.
Though it appears this game could go either way, it is worth pointing out that the matchups this season for both teams have been significantly different. The Tigers have gone up against several top contenders, while the Crows have been playing teams that are currently sitting far lower on the ladder.

Expert Prediction: Tigers

Melbourne Demons VS GWS Giants

The Melbourne Demons are playing the GWS Giants on Saturday night at the MCG at 7:25 pm.
The Demons are coming into this round after blitzing the season, having won all four of their matches thus far. This includes defeating the Power last week 68-36 in what should have been a much greater win by the Demons.
The Giants have lost three of their past four games this season, having lost to the Dockers last week 88-54.
The Demons are at the top of the ladder at 4-0, while the Giants are midway in the bottom half, coming in at 13th with 1-3.
This week it is pretty easy to assume that the Demons will come through with a win even if they don’t put their best side in. However, it is worth noting that GWS has been up against some of the better teams this year, while Melbournes’ only real competition thus far has been the premiership contenders, the Bulldogs, in the first round.

Expert Prediction: Demons

Carlton Blues VS Port Adelaide Power

The Carlton Blues are playing the Port Adelaide Power on Sunday at the MCG at 1:40 pm.
The Blues are coming into this round after losing their first game of the season last week against the Suns 92-62.
On the other hand, the Power have lost all four of their games so far this season in what looks to be the prime candidate for the wooden spoon. Surprisingly though, last week, they lost against the Demons in what should have been a complete washout; however, they managed to reel them into a relatively close 68-36 loss.
The Blues are currently sitting pretty comfortably at 7th position while Port is way down the bottom of the list at 18th.
Port Adelaide has won their past 18 day matches, so I wouldn’t rule them out completely this round; however, they are up against a highly dominant team this week.

Expert Prediction: Blues

Essendon Bombers VS Fremantle Dockers

The Essendon Bombers are playing the Fremantle Dockers this Sunday at Marvel Stadium at 4:40 pm.
The Bombers are coming into this round after winning their first game of the season last week against the Crows 103-99.
The Dockers have had a bit of an up and down start to the season, winning three of their past four games, including winning last week to the Giants 88-54.
The Bombers are currently sitting third from the bottom of the ladder at 16th and will be looking to slide up the ranks while the Dockers are sitting third from the top.
Essendon has won 14 of their past 15 home matches against the Dockers and will be looking to continue that trend this week.

Expert Prediction: Bombers

Hawthorn Hawks VS Geelong Cats

The Hawthorn Hawks are playing the Geelong Cats this Monday evening at the MCG at 3:20 pm.
The Hawks are coming into this round, losing their past two games, including a whopping defeat by the Saints last week 142-73.
This week, the Cats are the polar opposite, winning their previous two games, including their win against the Lions last week 80-70.
The Cats are currently sitting 5th on the ladder, with the Hawks sitting a little further down at 11th. It is a bit too early for the ladder rankings to make a significant difference in footy tipping; however, it is worth noting how they got to the positions they are currently in. Two of the matches the Hawks have played have been against the two teams currently on the bottom of the ladder, whereas Geelong has played some of the best teams this season.
Geelong has won all of their last nine day matches and has also had a higher scoring second half in their past nine games at the MCG.

Expert Prediction: Cats

AFL Footy Tips – Round 4

Port Adelaide Power VS Melbourne Demons

The Port Adelaide Power is up against the Melbourne Demons at Adelaide Oval this Thursday night.
Power comes into this round after losing to Adelaide last week by a mere four points; Melbourne faced the Bombers last week, coming off victorious in a 99-70 point win.
The Demons will be stepping into this match having won their last ten consecutive games, including the first three rounds of this year’s season.
In nine of the last 11 games that Port has played the highest-scoring half has been the first half. In contrast, Melbourne on the other hand has had a higher score in the second half, which leads me to believe that with the Demons being the far more dominant team in this matchup that the highest-scoring half will be the second.
The odds of this game are hugely in favour of the Demons even though the game will be played in Adelaide.
It’s pretty safe to say that the Demons will come out on top at the end of this game, and it will be a massive surprise to the football community if the Power somehow manages to get up against the demons this round. Stranger things have happened, but we don’t think it is happening this time.

Expert Prediction: Demons

Geelong Cats VS Brisbane Lions

The Geelong Cats will be playing the Brisbane Lions this Friday night at GMHBA Stadium at 7:50 pm.
The Catters are stepping up against the number 1 seed of the season with a win-loss-win to their record so far and will be looking to beat the Lions this week to bump themselves up the ladder significantly.
The Lions come into this round winning their past three games, which has helped maintain their top spot. The Demons will be stepping into this match having won their last ten consecutive games, including the first three rounds of this year’s season.
So far this season, the Lions haven’t had a massive challenge against them yet as all previous matches have been played against teams currently seeded in the bottom eight. On the other hand, the Cats have played both Collingwood and the Swans; both teams are in the top eight and are showing true form this season.
Brisbane has lost their past 12 games at GMHBA stadium.
While the odds for this game are slightly in favour of the Geelong Cats, it is fair to assume that they should be a lot higher for this game; it will be a good game; however, the Cats should come through with a win in this one.

Expert Prediction: Cats

Sydney Swans VS North Melbourne Kangaroos

The Sydney Swans will be playing the North Melbourne Kangaroos this Saturday at the Sydney Cricket Ground at 2:40 pm.
The Swannies are stepping into this round after losing last week to the Western Bulldogs 71-60; on the other hand, the Roos are coming into this game being beaten by the Lions 156-48.
Sydney appears to have a good thing going in their day games against the Kangaroos, having won 10 of their last 11 day game matchups.
In the last four matches between the Swans and the Roos, the Swans have won by 1-39 points (something to pay attention to in the same game multi).
The Sydney Swans should win this game quite comfortably.

Expert Prediction: Swans

Collingwood Magpies VS West Coast Eagles

The Collingwood Magpies will be playing the West Coast Eagles this Saturday at the Marvel Stadium at 4:35 pm.
The Magpies are stepping into this round having lost last week to the Geelong Cats 91-104; The Eagles, on the other hand, are coming into this week after having lost all three matches so far this season, with Fremantle last week more than doubling their points 47-102.
While both teams are coming into this round after suffering a loss last week, the Magpies have the upper hand this round with no travel, significantly more points per match, and a better defence.

Expert Prediction: Magpies

Richmond Tigers VS Western Bulldogs

The Richmond Tigers will be playing the Western Bulldogs this Saturday at the Melbourne Cricket Ground at 7:25 pm.
The Tigers step into this round after losing last week against the Saints 117-84;
The Bulldogs, on the other hand, are coming into this week having won their first round of the season last week against the Sydney Swans 71-60.
Something to take into account is that these tigers don’t tend to see too well in the dark, having lost five of their last six night matches.
However, their eyes adjust eventually as they have also had a higher scoring second half in all of their past six matches at the MCG.
Both teams are coming into this game at opposite ends of the scales; while they are both coming into this game in the bottom half of the ladder, the Bulldogs have had a better strategy so far this season.

Expert Prediction: Bulldogs

Fremantle Dockers VS GWS Giants

The Fremantle Dockers will be playing the GWS Giants this Saturday at the Optus Stadium at 7:25 pm.
Both Teams won last week after failing to claim victory the week prior.
The Dockers gave the Eagles a walloping last week with a final score of 47-102.
The Giants also won after taking on the Gold Coast Suns, beating them 83-57.
If GWS wants to take home victory this week, they will have to get past the fact that they have not won any of their past seven matches at Optus Stadium.
Adding to this is that in each of those seven matches, the second half has been the highest-scoring half. So is GWS getting gassed too early? Or are the Dockers simply better at playing on their home field?
The odds this week are slightly in favour of the Giants coming through with a win; however, if history tells us anything, the Dockers will be taking a win this week on their home turf.

Expert Prediction: Dockers

Essendon Bombers VS Adelaide Crows

The Essendon Bombers will be playing the Adelaide Crows this Sunday at Marvel Stadium at 1:10 pm.
The Bombers step into this week at the bottom of the ladder, having lost all three of their past games this season, having lost to Melbourne last week 99-70.
The Crows only sit slightly higher than them on the ladder, tied into the 14th spot; they managed to win last week against Port Adelaide; however, they only won 96-92.
The Bombers have won their past four games against Adelaide, with Adelaide’s last seven matches at Marvel Stadium having scored the highest in the first half.
Though the Crows are higher up on the ladder and Essendon has firmly lost their first three games of the season, the bombers have been up against some of the best teams so far; the Crows on the other hand have played subpar in some games where they should have stepped up.

Expert Prediction: Bombers

Hawthorn Hawks VS St. Kilda Saints

The Hawthorn Hawks will be playing the St. Kilda Saints this Sunday at the MCG at 3:20 pm.
Last week the Hawks lost their first game of the season against the Carlton Blues 74-73.
Currently sitting lower on the ladder, the Saints won their last game against the Richmond Tigers quite easily in a 117-84 point victory.
The Hawks have won each of their last five matches against the Saints at the MCG, with all of the Saints’ past four games at the MCG having all gone under the total match points line.
The odds this week favour the Saints; however, the Hawk’s defence is superior in this matchup.

Expert Prediction: Hawks

Gold Coast Suns VS Carlton Blues

This week the Gold Coast Suns will be playing the Carlton Blues on Sunday at Metricon Stadium at 4:10 pm.
The Suns come into this round with only one win on the board this season, having lost both of their last two games; last week, they played the GWS Giants, with GWS coming through with the win at 83-57.
The Carlton Blues have stepped up this season, having won all three of their matches so far up against some tough competition; last week, the Blues took on the Hawks, claiming a one-point victory at 74-73.
Carlton won four of their last five away games against the Gold Coast Suns.
So far this season, the Blues have an average of 15 points more per game, with two points less against per match; though some might expect this game to be a clean sweep for the Blues, I wouldn’t be so sure; the Suns have legs this season so it will be interesting to see what comes out of this game.
Overall though, our money this week is on the Blues.

Expert Prediction: Blues

AFL Footy Tips – Round 3

Western Bulldogs vs Sydney Swans

The Western Bulldogs are up against the Sydney Swans this Thursday night at Marvel Stadium.
The Bulldogs come into this game after losing their last three games of the AFL season (including the grand final last year). However, we must take into account that they did play the Demons in the first round, followed by Carlton, who appear to be surprising everyone this season.
The Swans come into the game, winning nine of their last 11 games (including last season), winning their first two games this season.
The odds are slightly in favour of the Bulldogs this week, and if history tells us anything, this should be a pretty close game.
We’re with the Bulldogs this round, though we are not entirely confident of the outcome.

Expert Prediction: Bulldogs

Melbourne Demons vs Essendon Bombers

This Friday night at the MCG, the Melbourne Demons are up against the Essendon Bombers.
The Demons come into this round at the top of the ladder, winning their last nine straight games and a better defence than the opposing Bombers.
The Bombers step forward this week after losing their last three games; however, in their previous three matchups against the Demons, they have kept the points within the 1-39 point margin.
As much as I would like to say Essendon will win this one, they have not shown a good start to the season so far, and unfortunately, we don’t see them offering any significant improvement coming in the next few weeks.

Expert Prediction: Demons

Adelaide Crows vs Port Adelaide Power

The Adelaide Crows are taking on the Port Adelaide Power this Friday night at Adelaide Oval.
The Crows and the Power step into round three following two losses to start the season, with the Power winning their four last games against the Crows.
The stats on these two teams push in favour of Port Adelaide, showing a better accuracy on goal and a better defence.
This one is pretty easy; the Power will win by over 39 points.

Expert Prediction: Crows

GWS Giants vs Gold Coast Suns

THIS SATURDAY AFTERNOON, the GWS Giants are going head-to-head with the Gold Coast Suns at Giants Stadium.
GWS are walking into this matchup after losing the first two games of the season; in saying that, the Giants have won nine of the last ten games against the Suns.
The Suns stroll into this round slightly better off than their opponents, winning the first round of the season, but losing last week against the Demons.
Both teams appear to be in pretty good form this season, holding their own against some of the better teams in the game.
All the stats point in favour of the Giants; however, the Suns seem to be in good form this week and should pull off the win.

Expert Prediction: Suns

Collingwood Magpies vs Geelong Cats

This Saturday night, the Collingwood Magpies are up against the Geelong Cats playing at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.
The Magpies come into this round winning their past two games to kick off the season, while the Cats are stepping into this round after losing to Sydney last week.
If history tells us anything, this should be an incredibly tight match and possibly even the match of the week. Four of the last five games between the Magpies and the Cats have resulted in a winning margin of fewer than 15 points.
Our money this week is on the Cats for the win, and if we want to get technical, they should win by around 11 points.

Expert Prediction: Cats

Brisbane Lions vs North Melbourne Kangaroos

This weekend, the Brisbane Lions face the North Melbourne Kangaroos on Saturday night at the Gabba.
The Lions step into Saturday night’s game-winning their first two games of the AFL season, while the Kangaroos are only slightly behind them, winning their last match but losing the first.
What we do know stepping into this round is that North Melbourne has lost their last nine games in Queensland; what we also know is that the highest-scoring round of the last four games has been the fourth.
The stats on this are pretty simple. The Brisbane Lions have an evident defensive strength against the Kangaroos, especially when they are playing up north; quite simply, our Same Game Multi Suggestion below is what you want to pay attention to.

Expert Prediction: Lions

Carlton Blues vs Hawthorn Hawks

The Carlton Blues are up against the Hawthorn Hawks this Sunday afternoon at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.
Both the Blues and the Hawks are heading into this round, winning their first two games of the season; both teams are showing true form and skill in the lead-up.
Last week the Blues took on the Bulldogs, winning 102-90, indicating the Blues may be a true contender for finals this year. At the same time, the Hawks, in comparison, played the Power who have clearly settled themselves in and gotten cozy at the bottom of the ladder.
Though sitting at the top of the ladder this week, the Hawks are not the odds favourite to win this round, and statistically speaking, Hawthorn has won their last four matches as the underdog, so this game may come as a surprise to a lot of bettors.
Interestingly, in the last three games that the Blues have played, the highest-scoring quarter has been the fourth quarter, which we will be taking into account in our same game multi below.
Seeing the form of both of these teams over the past few weeks, our money is on the Blues for the win.

Expert Prediction: Blues

St. Kilda Saints vs Richmond Tigers

This Sunday afternoon at Marvel Stadium, the St. Kilda Saints are up against the Richmond Tigers.
Both the Saints and the Tigers are coming into this round, winning last week’s game but losing in the first round.
Last Thursday, the Saints had a low scoring close match with Fremantle scraping through a win of 65-55, while the Tigers comfortably took home a win against the Giants last week, claiming victory at 109-73.
Both teams are currently sitting slightly lower than the middle of the ladder; however, this will change as the ladder is expected to shift quite dramatically over the coming few days.
Richmond has lost 7 of their last eight matches as a favourite, while the Saints have covered the line in their previous eight games.
All stats indicate that the Tigers should theoretically win this match; however, watching the past few games these teams have played, my gut feeling tells me that the Saints should squeeze a win out of this match though I expect it to be close.

Expert Prediction: Saints

West Coast Eagles vs Fremantle Dockers

The West Coast Eagles will play the Fremantle Dockers this Sunday in their home state at the grand ol’ Optus Stadium in Perth.
In their last matchup, the Dockers won against the Eagles, obliterating their chances for finals at the same venue this game will be played, so it is safe to say the Eagles will be looking to come through with a win on this one.
The stats on both these teams have them ranked extremely close in kicks, disposals, and inside 50s. However, the one thing that does stand out is the number of handballs the Dockers have in comparison to the Eagles; a total of 63 more handballs is a big deal when you are this early in the season.
Unfortunately for the Eagles, I don’t believe they have the goods this early in the season to be coming out on top this week; the Dockers have this one.

Expert Prediction: Dockers

AFL Footy Tips – Round 2

Western Bulldogs vs Carlton Blues Expert Tip

The Western Bulldogs and Carlton will meet this week at Marvel Stadium on Thursday night, having experienced contrasting outcomes during the first round. The Bulldogs started their season by losing a 97-71 decision to the Demons at the MCG despite leading by 22 points at one point of the game.

Jack Macrae and Aaron Naughton stood out from the crowd, with the former putting through four goals from 14 touches and the latter racking up 39 possessions and 11 clearances. Marcus Bontempelli injured his ankle midway through the game, raising doubts about whether he will play.

Carlton, meanwhile, will be aiming to start a season with two wins for the first time since 2012 after upsetting Richmond 101-76 last Thursday. The Bulldogs have won two of the last three encounters, with the most recent taking place in Round 8, 2021, when they reversed a 27-point deficit to win 107-91 at this stadium behind Bontempelli’s 32-disposal, one-goal effort.

Expert Prediction: Bulldogs

Sydney Swans vs Geelong Cats Expert Tip

The Cats were unstoppable against Essendon last weekend, demolishing the Dons 138-72 at the MCG behind Patrick Dangerfield’s 31-disposal, eight-clearance, and one-goal. Jeremy Cameron was injured early in that game and is questionable to play as a result of his injury.

Meanwhile, in their season opener, the Sydney Swans upset GWS 112-92 at Accor Stadium, with Luke Parker and Isaac Heeney leading the way. Lance Franklin’s one major moved him up to 996 career goals which he will be seeking to join the 1000 goal army this week.

That said, Lance ‘Buddy’ Franklin hasn’t been able to amount more than two goals per game in five of his last six appearances against the Geelong Cats.

Expert Prediction: Swans

Collingwood Magpies vs Adelaide Crows Expert Tip

Collingwood will aim for a second consecutive win when Adelaide travels to the MCG on Saturday afternoon.

During the opening round, the Magpies appeared to have a fresh lease of life, employing a considerably more attacking style of play than under Nathan Buckley to defeat St Kilda 102-85. Until now, Collingwood has not scored 100+ points in a single game since Round 2, 2021. Jordan De Goey had 27 touches and two majors, while Patrick Lipinski recorded 30 disposals and kicked a goal in his first game as a Magpie.

Adelaide dropped an 83-82 loss to Fremantle at the Adelaide Oval despite a stunning five-goal effort from Josh Rachele on his debut, as well as a 37-disposal performance by Ben Keays.

Expert Prediction: Magpies

Essendon Bombers vs Brisbane Lions Expert Tip

Essendon and Brisbane will meet at Marvel Stadium on Saturday afternoon, having experienced significantly distinct outcomes in Round 1.

The Cats were able to make the Bombers look inferior by 138-72 at the MCG, which was their equal-largest loss since Round 21, 2019 and the highest score surrendered since 2017.

Brisbane opened up its title defence with an 80-69 win over Port Adelaide at the Gabba. Joe Daniher contributed four goals to the victory, while Lachie Neale had 31 disposals. During their time last season, both Daniher and Neale were similarly effective when Brisbane beat Essendon 102-45 at the Gabba last season, each putting two goals through from 25 and 37 possessions respectively.

Expert Prediction: Lions

Port Adelaide Power vs Hawthorn Hawks Expert Tip

Port Adelaide, which will play its first game at the Adelaide Oval for 2022, will host Hawthorn on Saturday night.

The Power’s season began in ugly fashion, with an 80-69 loss to Brisbane at the Gabba, during which Aliir Aliir, Xavier Duursma, Robbie Gray and Trent McKenzie all got injured.

The Hawks whitewashed the Kangaroos, 78-58, at the MCG in their season opener. Jack Gunston and Mitch Lewis both went over three goals en route to that victory, with Tom Mitchell delivering a team-high 29 touches.

Expert Prediction: Power

Gold Coast Suns vs Melbourne Demons Expert Tip

Both Gold Coast and Melbourne, who both won in the first round, will meet at Metricon Stadium on Saturday night looking to go 2-0.

The Demons continued their dominance from last season by defeating the Bulldogs 97-71 at the MCG on Wednesday last week. Christian Petracca was fantastic in leading to that result, accumulating 38 disposals and nine clearances while putting two goals past the opposition.

The Suns put up a convincing 107-80 victory over a depleted West Coast team at Optus Stadium to mark the first time they’ve beaten the Eagles in Perth. Matt Rowell was crucial to that triumph, racking up 33 disposals, and 22 contested possessions, while Izak Rankine scored four goals.

The latest matchup between these two teams showed Melbourne to absolutely disgrace the Suns in a whopping final score of 128-30 at Marvel Stadium in Round 20 2021.

Expert Prediction: Demons

North Melbourne Kangaroos vs West Coast Eagles Expert Tip

Last week North Melbourne took on the Hawks falling short of a victory in a 20 point loss, the Eagles on the other hand also amassed against the Suns by 27 points in the Sun’s first-ever win against the Eagles in Perth.

With the Eagles averaging 14 more points per match and a smaller losing margin our bet this week is on the Eagles.

Expert Prediction: Eagles

Richmond Tigers vs GWS Giants Expert Tip

Richmond lost against the Blues last week in what could only be described as an astonishing and unexpected win for the Blues for 101-76 at the final whistle.

GWS took on the Giants last Saturday night only to lose 92-112 in the end.

the previous 6 matches between these two teams at the MCG the highest-scoring half has been the second half while the Tigers have also won all six of these previous matchups.

Expert Prediction: Tigers

Fremantle Dockers vs St. Kilda Saints Expert Tip

Both the Dockers and the Saints had opposing results at the end of last week’s round with the Dockers only just winning their game against the Crows by a mere 1 point at the final siren, the Saints on the other hand lost by 17 points against the Magpies who brought a new breath of life into their game.

The Saints have a little bit of a ‘Voodoo curse’ at the moment while playing in western Australia having lost 10 of their last 11 matches in the state, and I don’t think they will be breaking that curse this week.

Expert Prediction: Dockers

AFL Footy Tips – Round 1

Melbourne Demons vs Western Bulldogs Expert Tip

Kicking off the start of the season with the two finalists from 2021! in what could be seen as an epic return for the Bulldogs to bounce back and set the benchmark for the rest of the season, they are of course up against the premiers of last season. With plenty of rest and no travel time for either team, last year’s stats for the doggies stack in their favour.

The Bulldogs currently stands at holding 4.8 points more per game, an 11.7 points higher winning margin, and a 1.8% better goal accuracy. It’s safe to say that the Western Bulldogs will have an incredibly tight game on their hands but will do everything they can to bounce back from their Grand Final loss last season.

Expert Prediction: Bulldogs

Carlton Blues vs Richmond Tigers Expert Tip

The blues will be hosting for the tigers at the MCG on Thursday night for what is set to be a pretty decent match. It’s a little too early to see what their form is as they as just beginning to grind their gears at the start of the season, however, when looking at the stats it is clear to see that the Richmond Tigers have a clear advantage in this match up. Last year the tigers won by an average of 9.2 points more than the blues, 2.9% better goal accuracy, and played almost twice as many night games.

Expert Prediction: Tigers

St. Kilda Saints vs Collingwood Magpies Expert Tip

The Pies lost their last three games at Marvel Stadium against the Saints and average 3.9 less points per match than the Saints, they do have a slightly higher goal average per game 0.9%, however, the Saints have a significantly higher reliability to win after half time at 72.7% and they have a 10% chance of coming back after trailing at halftime where the pies only have a 7% chance.

With all this taken into account the Saints have a better chance of winning this round however it should be a tight game either way.

Expert Prediction: Saints

Geelong Cats vs Essendon Bombers Expert Tip

The Catters looked to be a true contender for the premiership last year until they lost in the preliminary final and throughout the season only let the opposing team score an average 66.2 in comparison to the Bomber letting 81.4 points sneak past. Although the bomber do have a slightly higher goal accuracy (1.6%), they also have a 17.5% higher chance to choke after half-time, that said, they are playing at the MCG in front of their home crowd and always do well at the beginning of the season.

This week I can’t help but feel the Cats will take charge even though the Bombers will be determined to put on a good show!

Expert Prediction: Cats

GWS Giants vs Sydney Swans Expert Tip

Last season the Swannies scored 10 points more per game on average in comparison to the Giants while also letting the opposing team score 5 points less; while the average win was a little over a goal per game in the Swan’s favour, the Giants were better at keeping the score low.

This should be an easy one for the Swans and we see them winning by a couple of goals.

Expert Prediction: Swans

Brisbane Lions vs Port Adelaide Power Expert Tip

Playing at their home ground this week, the Brisbane lines match up against Port Adelaide Power. Last year on average the Brisbane lines scored 12.3 points more than the Power per game which essentially means their accuracy on goal is superior. Though this does sound like a clear win, goal accuracy against the lions was significantly higher in comparison to the Power. This game will all come down to the backline for the Lions, if they are in full form this week the Lions will win, however, if they aren’t in top form we can see the power squeezing through a win.

Hawthorn Hawks vs North Melbourne Kangaroos Expert Tip

Two teams that didn’t quite perform as expected last season, the Hawks and the Roos will be duking it out at the MCG this Sunday a little after midday. The Hawks scored roughly eight points more than the roos last season, and the roos had a habit of losing after leading at halftime, one the other end of the scale after leading at the halfway mark the Hawks won 62.5% of their matches. This should be an easy one, Hawks for the win.

Expert Prediction: Hawks

Adelaide Crows vs Fremantle Dockers Expert Tip

The Dockers won 3 games more than the Crows last season and won 100% of the time after leading at halftime, the crows won a meager 7 games and only won 62% of the time after leading at halftime, the biggest thing, however, is the Crows ability to choke after leading at half time comes in at 37.5%. The Crows are playing at home this week which might give them an extra edge but I just don’t think it is going to happen.

Expert Prediction: Dockers

West Coast Eagles vs Gold Coast Suns Expert Tip

Wrapping up round 1 is the matchup between the West Coast Eagles and the Gold Coast Suns, while the Eagles only just scraped out of the top 8 last season the Suns, unfortunately, sat third from the bottom at the end of the season, with the eagles scoring an average 14.6 points per game more than the Suns it comes as no surprise they ended up in the positions they did. What should normally be viewed as a pretty tight game, we can only see one outcome this week.

It’s worth noting that the floods in Queensland and New South Wales has been an extremely emotional time for the residents of both states, the Suns will undoubtedly have been affected in some way or another by this disaster and will basically not be completely focused on training in the lead up to this game.

Expert Prediction: Eagles
