How to Watch the AFL
If you are unable to make it to the game there are a number of different ways you can watch the AFL. There is of course heading down to the local pub with your mates but if you are thinking of having a quiet night in there are a bunch of different options available, and thanks to the power of the internet you are now able to watch it from anywhere in the world directly from your phone or laptop.
Domestic Broadcasting Partners
Domestic broadcasting partners for the AFL include Channel 7, and 7mate, for your convenience we have included a link to bring you directly to the site to save you the trouble of having to find it.
-
FOX Footy
Fox Footy has broadcasting availability for the footy for every single game, though it can be a little difficult to navigate their site due to the heavy news content.
-
Foxtel
For years Foxtel was known as the home of football, however, due to the recent upswing in alternative streaming methods, customer numbers for the Foxtel network have dropped significantly.
-
AFL Live Pass
The website for AFL Live Pass, unfortunately, directs you to an “Out of Bounds” page, which we could only assume is the AFLs version of a 404 page.
-
Kayo
Kayo Sports is available in pretty much every country that you can think of, if you have an internet connection you can be pretty sure that you can watch the AFL on Kayo.
Watch the AFL Overseas
When traveling abroad you might find yourself on the top of a mountain in the middle of nowhere when your favorite team is playing a make-or-break match, but have no fear, there are still ways to access the AFL no matter where you are in the world!
WatchAFL
WatchAFL is the streaming partner for the AFL and has live access to every game including the finals, WatchAFL is available on mobile, tablet, computer, or TV (with an internet connection). It is worth noting that there is a note at the bottom of their page stating that WatchAFL is not available in Australia, however, you may be able to work around this using a VPN, we recommend using ExpressVPN.
you may also access the AFL from a number of the domestic methods, however, it all depends on which country you are currently residing in.
